Hello from Hong Kong

We wanted you to know have arrive in Asia safely and that are doing ok. We have visited Seoul and now we are in Hong Kong.Things go well -- NOW. Before leaving Seoul, Chris and I got food poisoning so we've been dealing with the after affects of that for the past few nights/days... It hit Chris pretty bad (bad stomach), at this point, he's afraid to eat anything...and the smell of any type of fish turns both our stomachs! Our last night in Korea, our host "treated" us to a traditional Korean meal. It included all kinds of stuff including LIVE octopus! The pic of the table isattached. It is a low table and we sit on the floor and there are lots of small dishes -- main courses and garnishes that everyone at the table shares... The sad thing is the next day Chris was sick as a dog and he had to work and NOT tell his host he had gotten sick from the "spread" the night before!!! Luckily, Chris is feeling better, but he's still not really eating...We arrived in Hong Kong on Wednesday evening. There are pics from last night attached of us, the city lights and the view (of Causeway Bay and Victoria Park) from our hotel room. We like it here A LOT better than Seoul. The city is very clean and the infrastructure is great, well thought out which makes getting around pretty easy. The jetlag is near gone which is good.

Tomorrow evening (Saturday) is our last night here, then we'll be off to Tokyo (country 3 of 5) for a few days...It is amazing how we have to adjust our day-to-day thinking...especially when it comes to the different types of foreign currency / rates and the fact that Asia uses the metric system... So, I'm constantly "doing the math" to figure out -- how much I'm actually paying for something, how much I weigh and to see how far I've run on the treadmill! Yes, RUN. I'm happy to say that six weeks after my surgery, I'm able to RUN again. I've been logging some serious time at the gym. Yesterday, I ran 4K and did 10K on the bike...gotta get ready from my bathing suit / time poolside while in Jakarta!Overall, we are doing well.Libby
